Doctors Without Borders
Graphic design & implementing a UX Design process for the eLearning Canada team.
Role: eLearning UX Designer + Freelance Graphic Designer
Timeline: January 2017 - February 2019
Along with my colleagues, we implemented the UX Design process to all incoming MSF Canada projects
Our team focused on conducting qualitative and quantitative research which we used to analyze and update existing modules in order to ensure enhanced learning to both internal departments as well as expats in field.
We were deeply involved in the design and development of learning and training programs for employees and expats on missions. I also worked closely with the Brussels and Paris offices for motion design and video editing projects such as MSL, Unidata, and Uniquality.
Workbooks & PDFs
Worked with former Head of Strategic Partnerships in order to create a donor-facing PDF in order to solicit support for the Global COVID Crisis Fund which raised nearly $500,000 (from last I heard!).
Worked with the former Transformational Investment Capacity Development Officer in order to create both an English and French version of The Transformational Investment Capacity (TIC) PDF, along with a supplemental pitch deck.
Worked with the (now) current HR Director in order to create the My Development Plan (MDP) Workbook.
We worked with MSF Barcelona to create a system of credentials for the Tembo eLearning system. These badges will be implemented eCampus wide for local volunteers going into missions where they may not be experts in specific programs, like responding to emergencies.
Although the subject matter may be serious, we made these badges fun and playful, this way local volunteers can take pride in their learning - and are still in use!
We worked with MSF Barcelona to create “Being Aisatu” an educational game for local volunteers going into missions and raise abortion awareness. The game was originally developed as a board game by the Barcelona team and was adopted company-wide when entering missions.
We created a virtual version, in order to reduce the facilitation and still create an educational experience that allows users to walk in Aisatu’s shoes.
Game Visuals
I was sent over to MSF Brussels to work on all the HOMERE eLearning videos which were completed within a month. I created video tutorials for the HOMERE HR software platform, this project was extremely important to MSF OCB because the platform includes offline capabilities. I worked closely with MSF Brussels to create a library of 50+ tutorials.
have also created a variety of motion graphic videos for MSF Brussels and MSF Paris

This eLearning came from a need to teach as many expats as possible how to respond during times of crisis. I worked closely with MSF Canada to build out the content, illustrations, and user experience of the learning in order to ensure many are equipped to handle this type of emergency.
By completing this eLearning, users will be able to understand what steps need to be taken in these types of scenarios.
